Cheonmyeongdang v1.5.0 just shipped to Google Play Store Production — Korean Saju AI in 9 languages, with five product levers I want to break down for anyone building a global indie SaaS.

What is Cheonmyeongdang?

Cheonmyeongdang (천명당) is a Korean Saju (사주) AI app. Saju is East Asia's 4-pillar fortune-telling system — the same conceptual root as Chinese BaZi (八字), but with the Korean interpretive tradition. It uses your birth year/month/day/hour to compute a chart of Five Elements (오행) and Ten Gods (십신), then reads personality, career, relationships, and timing.

We just shipped v1.5.0, and it's now live on the Play Store Production track for global distribution.

v1.5.0 — Five levers shipped

  1. llms.txt indexing — LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) can now discover and reason about Cheonmyeongdang's content structure directly.
  2. FAQ schema in 9 languages — structured data markup (JSON-LD) for every locale, so Google rich results pick up Saju FAQs natively.
  3. Comparison page — head-to-head against Co-Star and other astrology apps, focused on what Korean Saju does differently (BaZi 4 pillars vs Western horoscope).
  4. Outcome-based pricing — instead of feature gating, premium is sold on outcomes: "Know your career path in 2026", "Find your compatibility partner", etc.
  5. Hub-and-Spoke YouTube — long-form pillar videos on @kunstudiokr feed shorts on @taxnbenefitskr and @wealthblueprint2, all linking back to sajuapp.app + Play Store.

Why 9 languages, not just Korean?

Korea is a 50M market. The diaspora + interest from Japan, Greater China, Spanish-speaking Latin America, and Western Europe is multiples larger. Korean culture (K-pop, K-drama, K-content) gives Saju a built-in pull abroad that pure-Korean apps don't capture.

So Cheonmyeongdang ships in: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese.

Every locale gets:

  • Native UI (not auto-translated buttons)
  • FAQ schema for local SEO
  • Localized prompt templates so the AI reads naturally in that language
  • Local pricing display

Pricing — outcome-based, not feature-gated

Tier Price (USD) Best for
Daily pass $1.50 One-time deep reading
Monthly $29.90 Active users, ongoing daily fortune
Annual $287.04 (20% off vs monthly × 12) Committed users

Basic Saju reading (4 pillars, Five Elements, Ten Gods) is free, unlimited, in all 9 languages.

Try it now

What's next

  • iOS App Store submission (in queue)
  • Korean Pay Korean PG integration for KRW pricing inside Korea
  • More YouTube long-form on @kunstudiokr explaining Saju concepts for non-Korean audiences

If you're building a global indie SaaS, the takeaway from this launch: stop English-first thinking, ship the long-tail languages on day one, and let outcome-based pricing do the heavy lifting on conversion.

Cheers from Seoul.
