This developer created a 2K star repo from his phone

I recently came across a post about a Neovim plugin developer whose plugin I use almost everyday for note taking: Markview.nvim. Markview is a plugin for neatly viewing markdown in the terminal (check out the video on Markview’s README!).

Anyways, it turns out that the entirety of Markview (about 25000 lines) has been written entirely on a touchscreen mobile phone. And according to the developer, this isn’t a temporary thing, and it isn’t by choice.

But after a bit of discussion on what platform to use, the Neovim community raised almost $5000 for him. You can see the current statistics here, and donate here. All of the money will go towards a laptop/desktop computer, then towards education.

And… that’s all I got. This is certainly an irregular post for me, but I thought that this was very cool, and I wanted to share.
