What are you doing while twitter is down?

Laurie on July 11, 2019

So twitter has quite the outage going on. #hugops to all involved!

In the meantime, what are you up to?

Any posts we should all read to make productive use of the time?

I'm making the same discussion thread on here, because great minds think alike!

Now I'm going to juggle posts and conversations on this post and on mine because that complexity will take my mind off of what I'm procrastinating :D

Still keeps me entertained to carry on this conversation on two posts... I'm easily entertained, though...

I wanted to rant about twitter being down and my hands having minds of their own reached for my phone and opened twitter!

I didn't even notice Twitter was down. Not a slow day at work for once.

This is the response I'm most jealous of. ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฎ

It was terrible!

I usually enjoy feeling all smug when everyone pours into Twitter because one of the other platforms are down, but what was I supposed to do when Twitter went down? ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I don't use Twitter so I had no idea it was down. ๐Ÿ˜„
I'm working on cover letters right now. ๐Ÿ˜“

Holy shit so that must be why my twitter API calls kept failing last night

I was preparing the list for the Prime Day in Italy, with my wife. My attention was needed elsewhere...

I submitted a fix to production. I barely noticed twitter is down.

I'm still unsure whether it's worth it to create a Twitter account!

It could be. My experience so far is that I'm quite succesful in following enough accounts to catch the interesting things as they happen (I saw the initial posts of dev.to there) but not too much to be overwhelmed and panic in FOMO.
Maybe it also depends on your interests, and how much they are represented there. For example, I don't follow javascript frameworks; that would need too much time every day to read.
