Flow Studio: Free Online Browser Workflow Builder — How-To Guide
If you regularly chain the same small data chores — format some JSON, wrap it in an API envelope, then turn it into TypeScript types — Flow Studio bundles those steps into a single repeatable browser workflow. Try it free: Flow Studio.
What Flow Studio does
Flow Studio is a simple workflow builder for browser tool tasks. Instead of opening three separate tools and copy-pasting between them, you pick a curated workflow template, paste your input once, and run every step in sequence. Each step shows exactly what it received and what it produced, so you can follow the transformation even on your first run.
It ships with 12 built-in workflow templates across six categories:
- Developer — API JSON to TypeScript, JSON API Debug Pack, JSON Mock API Response Pack
- Data — CSV/Excel Data Cleanup, CSV to JSON to SQL, CSV to TypeScript API Contract
- SEO — SEO Metadata Launch Pack, SEO Tags to Minified Head
- Publishing — Markdown Publishing Pack
- Frontend — Frontend Asset Cleanup Pack
- Encoding — Encoding/Decoding Utility Pack, URL-Safe Share Payload
Everything runs in the browser with no account required.
How to use Flow Studio, step by step
- Open the tool. Go to https://www.toolsfam.com/tools/flow-studio. The page loads the default template (API JSON to TypeScript) so you can try it immediately.
- Pick a template. Browse the category list and choose the workflow that matches your task — for example, CSV to JSON to SQL if you have spreadsheet data that needs to end up in a database.
- Paste your source input once. Paste your raw data (JSON, CSV, text, etc.) into the single input area. There is no need to re-paste for each step.
- Run the workflow. Start the run. Each step executes in order — for the API JSON to TypeScript template that means: (1) Format JSON, (2) Wrap Mock Response, (3) JSON to TypeScript Types.
- Review each step's output. After the run, every step shows a status and an output preview. If something looks wrong at step 2, you can see exactly what step 1 produced.
- Copy or export the final result. Copy the output of the last step (or any intermediate step) for your project, then paste new input to run the workflow again.
3 practical tips
- Use the default template as a sandbox. The pre-loaded API JSON to TypeScript workflow is a great way to learn the layout before committing to a multi-step data job.
- Inspect intermediate steps, not just the final answer. Because each step shows its input and output, debugging a bad result is much faster than in a black-box converter — you can see exactly which step changed your data.
- Re-run the same workflow on fresh data. Flow Studio shines on repeatable chores: build the habit of pasting once and running all steps, rather than chaining tools manually each time.
FAQ
Is Flow Studio free?
Yes. Every built-in workflow is free to run, with no account or signup required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The current release focuses on curated built-in workflows that run directly in the browser.
Can I build my own custom workflows?
You can sketch, import, and export lightweight flow maps locally. Fully executable workflows remain curated so they stay reliable.
Does it use AI?
No. Flow Studio uses deterministic browser-side processors, parsers, and generators — not external AI APIs. The same input always gives the same output.
Privacy note
Flow Studio runs 100% in your browser. Your pasted data, files, and generated outputs never leave your device — ToolsFam does not store large inputs, pasted data, or generated outputs.
