My MacBook Setup For Development 2024

As we step into another year of exciting journeys, I figured it was the perfect moment to unveil the newest adjustments and tools I'm using in my MacBook setup.

Arc Browser

When setting up a new MacBook, the initial must-have is a browser, and my top choice at the moment is Arc. This browser stands out with its innovative features that redefine the browsing experience and reshape our interaction with the Internet.

The split view feature, allowing a simultaneous display of up to 4 tabs, and the ability to switch between profiles within a single window are particularly appealing to me. The clean and minimal UI, coupled with AI features like Arc Max, further enhance the browsing journey.

In a recent video, the creators teased that they're not merely crafting a browser but planning a grand reintroduction to the world. The excitement builds for their event on January 30, 2024, hinting at significant announcements that I eagerly look forward to discovering!

Visual Studio Code (VS Code):
No developer's toolkit is complete without a powerful Integrated Development Environment (IDE). VS Code continues to be my top pick.

New Editor Extensions:
Codeium, a free alternative to GitHub Copilot for individual users. Enhance your coding experience without breaking the bank.

Package Manager

Package Management with Homebrew and Cakebrew
When it comes to package management, Homebrew remains my favourite Companion. But, for those who appreciate a visually appealing interface, I've also embraced Cakebrew, providing a user-friendly GUI for Homebrew.
