In the last couple of days I finished up the Software Engineering course pre-work for Flatiron School. I feel like my basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript has expanded but it also feels like I've only just scratched the surface.
In the coming weeks I'll be juggling course work with the holiday season. This means converting to using my laptop to do work at my mother's house while visiting for a couple of weeks over Thanksgiving. I'm hoping that I will be able to build out my own basic website very soon, and that as I learn more I'll be able to update it with new and exciting features.
I hope to make blogging a regular part of my learning process going forward, both to keep track of my own progress and show others how easy it is to pick up new skills. I'm coming to this at age 36, just left an old career because of covid-19 based anxieties (I was a production manager and live sound engineer at a venue here in Chicago) and wanting a lifestyle change.
