Your cut (15%): ₦225,000-450,000/month in value.

Lesson: Nigerian clients want to see proof you understand their market. Show them your Naija Twitter following, your Nairaland activity, your Pidgin content. They'll pay premium over a "generic" cold email freelancer.
Common pricing mistakes to avoid
Mistake 1: Pricing too low because "market is price-sensitive"
Most emerging market clients are price-sensitive for bad services. For good services that save them time or make them money, they'll pay premium.
Charge based on value delivered, not what "feels right" for the market.
Mistake 2: Pricing too high because you copied US rates
$5K/month might work for a US B2B SaaS. The same service in India, Vietnam, or Nigeria should be priced at 5-10% of US rates because the client's revenue is 5-10% of US revenue.
The math is the same: 10% of client value. The absolute numbers are different.
Mistake 3: Not raising prices
Start at 50% of your target price. After 3-6 months and proven case studies, raise by 25-50%. Most emerging market clients will accept because you've already proven value.
Mistake 4: Charging per hour instead of per outcome
Hourly pricing caps your income. Charge per project, per month, or per result.
