Whatify started as a wild idea: “What if we could turn any What if…? into a living, narrated timeline on a world map?”
For the Kiro Hackathon, I decided to try — and Kiro turned out to be my secret weapon.
🛠 How Kiro Helped
Spec-to-code: I described “full-screen map, sticky controls, bottom-sheet on mobile” → Kiro gave me production-ready React/Tailwind code in minutes.
Vibe coding: iterating animations (marker pulses, cinematic fade) and accessibility tweaks without manual trial-and-error.
Agent hooks: building a streaming + TTS loop where narration starts <100ms after user tap — solving iOS audio lock pain.
💡 Why It Mattered
Instead of spending hours on boilerplate, I could focus on storytelling: making the narrator sound alive, pacing events, and syncing them with the map.
🚀 The Result
In 48h, Whatify was live:
Zero-latency AI narration
Interactive living world map
Mobile-first, cinematic feel
