If you are anything like me, your day involves jumping across completely different technical challenges. One moment, I might be diving deep into core C programming, mapping out binary tree reconstructions, or writing algorithms for matrix addition. The next, I could be rendering dark-themed interactive music applications using Three.js, fine-tuning audio equalizers and loop functionalities.
But regardless of the complex systems I am building, I consistently hit the exact same annoying bottleneck: everyday workflow utilities.
Whenever I needed to quickly format a massive JSON payload, verify a SHA-256 hash, or check WCAG color contrast for a UI component, I had to rely on random Google searches.
The Privacy and Friction Problem
The online developer utility ecosystem is currently broken. Most top-ranking tools share the same fundamental flaws:
- Data Privacy: Pasting sensitive API keys, JWTs, or client JSON data into a random browser tool often means sending that data to an unknown backend server.
- Friction: You are bombarded with display ads, forced sign-up walls, or delayed loading times before you can even click "Format".
I wanted a seamless, secure workflow. After spending some time researching professional, memorable domain naming strategies, I decided to fix my own problem and launched DevProo.
Enter DevProo: Zero Friction, 100% Client-Side
DevProo is a privacy-first hub for everyday digital utilities. My architectural philosophy for this was simple: Process everything in the browser.
Privacy by Default: Because it relies entirely on client-side processing, your data never leaves your device. It does not touch a server.
- Lightning Fast: No server round-trips mean instant conversions.
- No Ads, No Logins: Just a clean UI designed to get you your result instantly so you can get back to your IDE.
What is currently live?
I’ve initially shipped the tools I found myself needing the most on a daily basis:
- Data: Fast JSON formatters and JWT utilities.
- Security: SHA-256 and various Hash Generators.
- Time: Epoch and Timezone converters.
- Design: Favicon generators and Contrast Checkers for frontend work.
I'd love your feedback!
Building this has been a refreshing shift from complex data structures and 3D visualizers to solving purely practical workflow friction.
I am actively maintaining DevProo and would genuinely value feedback from this community. You can try it out here: devproo.co.in.
What is that one small, annoying task in your daily workflow that I should build a client-side tool for next? Let me know in the comments!
