  • In the 1960s, the U.S. Defence Advanced Research Project Agency(DARPA)
    created ARPANET, the precursor to the modern internet.

  • ARPANET was the first packet-switched network which breaks data into small blocks(packets),transmits each individual packets from node to node towards its destination
