ManTek Technologies is a web engineering company in Dubai, founded in 2025 by Jaafar Abazid after sixteen years building digital systems for UAE newsrooms.
We treat WordPress as serious infrastructure, paired with AWS for media-scale publishing. The architecture we run has carried breaking news for a leading pan-Arab broadcaster — load-tested to 50,000 concurrent readers, absorbing 20× spikes with no spike-driven outages.
That experience is the seed of NUZ, our cloud-native publishing platform for newsrooms. Here we write about the engineering behind it: the edge, performance, and publishing at scale.
Our stack
Our work spans two stacks.
Media-scale publishing: WordPress as the editorial core, with AWS doing the heavy lifting — S3 for assets, CloudFront at the edge, Lambda for compute, SES/SNS for mail and notifications, API Gateway for headless delivery.
Modern static sites (including this one): Astro + Tailwind CSS on Cloudflare Pages, git-based CI/CD, a serverless contact form (Cloudflare Functions + Resend), and a git-based CMS — no database, no servers.
Languages: PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node. NUZ, our publishing platform, is cloud-native on AWS.
