CrowdStrike and Zscaler Bring Continuous Identity to Zero Trust Access

Modern cyber threats are increasingly identity-focused, with attackers using credential abuse to bypass traditional defenses and move laterally across cloud and endpoint environments. To address these challenges, CrowdStrike and Zscaler are deepening their strategic partnership through an upcoming integration between Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security and Zscaler’s Adaptive Access Engine (AAE). This collaboration leverages CrowdStrike’s Continuous Identity approach to share real-time risk context across the Zero Trust Exchange.

The integration utilizes open standards like the OpenID Shared Signals Framework (SSF) and Continuous Access Evaluation Profile (CAEP) to automate security responses. When suspicious behavior—such as brute-force attempts or malicious script execution—is detected, Zscaler can automatically block access or require step-up authentication. Once the risk is mitigated, access is restored without manual intervention, providing a seamless and proactive defense against cross-domain attacks.
