CrowdStrike has announced the general availability of FalconID, a phishing-resistant MFA solution integrated directly into the Falcon platform. Designed to combat sophisticated social engineering and credential abuse, FalconID utilizes FIDO2-based biometric authentication to eliminate insecure methods like passwords and SMS codes. It leverages real-time telemetry from the Falcon sensor to assess risk signals from identity, endpoint, and SaaS security before granting access.
Further enhancing their identity security suite, the integration of SGNL technology introduces continuous, context-aware authorization. This allow for dynamic adjustments to access privileges throughout a session, moving toward a zero-standing-privilege model across cloud and SaaS environments. Together, these tools provide a comprehensive defense against modern identity-based attacks that bypass traditional IAM systems by evaluating risk signals in real time.
