⚠️ Region Alert: UAE/Middle East
The UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has issued a warning to British organizations regarding an elevated risk of Iranian cyberattacks stemming from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. While the direct threat level to the UK mainland has not fundamentally changed, the NCSC emphasizes that the situation is volatile and poses a specific threat to entities with supply chains or physical assets located within the Middle East region.
Despite localized internet blackouts in Iran, state-sponsored hacking groups retain the capability to conduct offensive operations, including DDoS, phishing, and ICS targeting. Security leaders are urged to review their external attack surfaces and increase network monitoring to mitigate potential compromise from Iranian-linked actors as regional tensions continue to evolve.
