Hackers Robbed a Casino Using a Smart Fish Tank!

Hey guys! ๐Ÿ‘‹ We developers love building IoT projects and connecting everything to Wi-Fi. But today's funny tech news proves that sometimes, making things "smart" is a terrible idea.

A massive casino spent millions of dollars on top-level cybersecurity to protect their servers. But a group of hackers found a hilarious and ridiculous way to break in.

How did they do it?
The casino had a fancy smart fish tank in their lobby. This fish tank had a Wi-Fi-connected thermometer so the managers could monitor the water temperature from their phones.

The hackers found the fish tank thermometer on the internet, hacked into its incredibly weak software, and used it as a secret door to enter the casino's main computer network! They literally stole 10 GB of highly sensitive data and pulled it all out through the fish tank.

Imagine being the head security engineer. You built massive firewalls, but you got completely destroyed because the lobby aquarium betrayed you! ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Lesson: Not everything needs to be connected to the internet. Keep your IoT projects secure, or one day your smart toaster might get hacked too!

What is the most useless smart device you have ever seen in the market? Let's discuss below! ๐Ÿ‘‡
