Sourcey open startup-credit registry: twelve dated records with provenance

Sourcey publishes its startup-credit data as a versioned dataset: a dataset contract (sourcey.startup-credits-dataset/v1alpha1), a release id (sha256:1472317002b3...), a release date, and policy digests that govern how records enter and age. The dataset lists 557 companies and 619 offers; every offer carries its own revision digest, the date it became effective, and a per-field provenance block saying when that field was last observed and how fresh it is. A record is not just a claim here, it is a claim with a date attached.

Twelve records were read out of that registry and re-checked against the live record pages on 20 Oct 2026. Six of them, with the largest headline credits:

  1. Deel - The Pitch 2026: free marketplace perks, and up to 100 regional winners get a $50,000 SAFE. Effective 2026-08-01, observed 2026-08-01. Record: https://sourcey.com/c/deel/offers/the-pitch-2026-startup-competition-and-perks-access

  2. Brex - SaaS and AI partner discounts: over $350K in discounts and credits. Effective 2026-07-31, observed 2026-07-31. Record: https://sourcey.com/c/brex/offers/brex-saas-and-ai-partner-discounts

  3. Google Cloud - AI startups: year 1 up to $250,000 in credits, year 2 a further 20% up to $100,000. Effective 2026-08-04, observed 2026-08-04. Record: https://sourcey.com/c/google-cloud/offers/google-for-startups-cloud-program-ai

  4. AWS - Activate AI credits: more than $200,000. Effective 2026-08-04, observed 2026-08-04. Record: https://sourcey.com/c/aws/offers/aws-activate-ai-credits

  5. Databricks - for Startups: credits for Databricks and Neon, up to $200,000. Effective 2026-08-01, observed 2026-08-01. Record: https://sourcey.com/c/databricks/offers/databricks-for-startups-program

  6. Fly.io - $15,000 in credits for new startups. Effective 2026-10-14, observed 2026-10-14. Record: https://sourcey.com/c/fly-io/offers/fly-io-startup-credits

Three things the numbers actually say:

  • Most headline credits are caps, not amounts. Of 1044 benefit entries, only 76 carry an exact monetary value, 100 are up-to caps, and 857 are non-monetary (seats, support, onboarding).
  • Freshness is per field, not per record: the median gap between an offer taking effect and its fields being observed is 42 hours, but the 90th percentile is 1062 hours (44 days).
  • Two waves, not one: the biggest credits took effect between 2026-07-27 and 2026-08-04, while October is a long tail of smaller, more specific programmes.

Verify any line of this yourself:
curl -s https://sourcey.com/startup-credits.json -o credits.json
jq '.companies[] | select(.slug=="fly-io") | .offers[] | select(.slug=="fly-io-startup-credits") | {title, effective_from, revision_digest}' credits.json
curl -s -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code}\n' https://sourcey.com/c/fly-io/offers/fly-io-startup-credits

This cites what the registry records; it does not vouch for the programmes themselves - eligibility is usually vendor-discretion.
