How to Connect Hyvä Pocket to Your Magento Store
Connecting Hyvä Pocket to your store takes just a few minutes. You can connect one or more Magento stores using whichever authentication method you prefer, and once connected, you can monitor orders, customers, products, and sales right from your phone.
Follow these steps to connect your Magento store:
Step 1: Download and Open Hyvä Pocket
Install the Hyvä Pocket app from the Apple App Store and open it on your iPhone or iPad. Tap Add Store to add your Magento store.
Step 2: Enter Your Store Information
Under the Magento Store section, enter the following details:
Store Name: Enter a name that helps you identify your store.
Store URL: Enter your Magento store URL, for example, https://yourstore.com.
Step 3: Choose an Authentication Method
Hyvä Pocket supports three authentication methods:
Admin Login (Recommended): Sign in using your Magento admin username and password. This is the quickest way to connect your store.
Integration Token: Connect using a Magento integration access token.
OAuth 1.0a: Authenticate your store using Magento’s OAuth credentials.
Choose the method that best matches your store’s security requirements.
Step 4: Use the Admin Login Authentication Method
For this tutorial, we’ll use Admin Login since it’s the simplest and fastest way to connect your store. Select Admin Login from the Auth Method dropdown, and the app will prompt you for your Magento admin credentials.
Step 5: Enter Your Admin Credentials
Enter your Magento admin login details:
Username: Enter your Magento admin username.
Password: Enter your Magento admin password.
If you want to stay connected, turn on Stay Signed In. This keeps your session active so Hyvä Pocket can reconnect automatically without asking you to log in again. If it’s off, your session expires after a few hours and you’ll need to sign in again manually.
Step 6: Save Your Store
After entering the required information, tap Save. Hyvä Pocket will verify your credentials and connect to your Magento store. Once connected, you can start managing your store from anywhere.
Step 7: Enable Order Notifications
After your store is connected, Hyvä Pocket will ask whether you want to enable push notifications for new orders. We recommend turning this on so you never miss a new order, even when you’re away from your desk.
With notifications enabled, Hyvä Pocket:
Checks for new orders every minute while the app is open.
Checks every five minutes while running in the background.
Lets you customize the notification interval or turn notifications off anytime from settings.
Tap Enable Notifications to start getting alerts when a new order comes in. If you’d rather wait, tap Not Now and turn notifications on later from the app settings.
