What I Learned Producing a Full Music Video With Generative AI

I’ve been experimenting with generative AI for something slightly different from coding assistants and chatbots:

Music video production.

Recently, we created an AI-assisted cinematic production for “Gokul”, a Gujarati devotional song by Birju Barot.

What looked like a straightforward task — take an existing song and generate visuals — quickly turned into a much more interesting engineering and creative consistency problem.

The biggest challenges weren’t generating individual images.

They were:

1. Maintaining the same human identity
2. Maintaining characters across scenes
3. Getting believable singing lip-sync
4. Creating visual continuity
5. Matching visuals with lyrical meaning
6. Keeping a consistent cinematic language
