I’ve been experimenting with generative AI for something slightly different from coding assistants and chatbots:
Music video production.
Recently, we created an AI-assisted cinematic production for “Gokul”, a Gujarati devotional song by Birju Barot.
What looked like a straightforward task — take an existing song and generate visuals — quickly turned into a much more interesting engineering and creative consistency problem.
The biggest challenges weren’t generating individual images.
They were:
- Maintaining the same human identity
- Maintaining characters across scenes
- Getting believable singing lip-sync
- Creating visual continuity
- Matching visuals with lyrical meaning
- Keeping a consistent cinematic language
This article shares what we learned from that workflow.
Then continue with:
The Input → Scene Planning → Reference Images → Generation → Identity Consistency → Lip-Sync → Editing → Failures → Lessons Learned → Final Result.
