Most free QR code generators have a catch. Some add a watermark, some ask you to sign up, and many lock the vector file you need for printing behind a paid plan. qrfyy (https://qrfyy.com) is a browser-based generator with no paid plan at all. Here is how to get a working code in about a minute, and how to choose the right kind.
Step 1: Pick a type
Open the homepage and choose what the code should do. The common options are a website link, WiFi login, contact card (vCard), WhatsApp chat, restaurant menu, PDF, Google review link, or a social profile. Each type has its own form, so you only fill in the fields that matter.
Step 2: Fill in the details
Paste your link or type your network name and password. The preview updates as you type, so you can see the code before you download anything.
Step 3: Design and download
Add a frame like "Scan Me", change the colors, or put a small logo in the middle. Then download PNG, SVG, PDF, or EPS. If you're printing anything bigger than a phone screen, use SVG. It's the true vector file, so it stays sharp at any size. The PDF and EPS files wrap a PNG.
A tip on logos: keep them small. A big logo covers too much of the pattern and phones stop reading the code. Always test-scan before you print.
Static or dynamic?
This is the choice that matters most.
- Static codes store the data inside the image. They never expire, there's no limit on how many you make, and qrfyy doesn't track them. Use them for WiFi cards, vCards, and links that won't change.
- Dynamic codes point to a short qrfyy redirect, so you can change where they go after printing. You get up to 20 free on one owner key. Scans log basic details like time, device, and browser for 90 days, but not full IP addresses. Save your owner key, because that's how you edit the code later, including from another device.
If you need a code to last for years, go static. It keeps working even if the service disappears.
Notes for shops in the Philippines
qrfyy can make a QR code that opens your GCash or Maya link. It does not create official GCash, Maya, or QR Ph payment codes. Keep using the official payment QR from your app for payments, and use qrfyy for everything else: your menu, Facebook page, Shopee store, or a Google review card on the counter.
Bulk codes
Need codes for a lot of tables or products? Bulk QR turns a list of up to 50 links (one per line) into static PNGs right in your browser.
That's the whole process. No account and no watermark. Pick a type, fill it in, test the scan, and print.
