Why I Built This
When HEC announced the NSCT exam, the first thing my class fellows and I did was search for preparation material. What we found was nothing — scattered articles, no past papers, no organized MCQ banks, no single place that covered the full syllabus.
The exam covers 10 subjects. The syllabus is massive. And we were all figuring it out alone.
So I decided to fix that. I spent time compiling everything myself — MCQs, theory notes, cheat sheets, and YouTube resources — organized by subject into clean downloadable PDFs. I first shared it in my class WhatsApp group, then realized other students across Pakistan were in the exact same situation. So I open-sourced it for everyone.
What is NSCT?
The National Skill Competency Test (NSCT) is a national-level assessment for IT graduates in Pakistan, conducted by HEC in collaboration with MoITT, PSEB, P@SHA, and NCEAC. Virtual University of Pakistan is the testing body.
- First ever cycle: April 4 & 5, 2026
- Official Portal: nsct.hec.gov.pk
- Purpose: Evaluate the competency of IT graduates across core CS/IT domains
This is the first time this exam is being conducted. No past papers exist. No experience reports. That's exactly what makes preparation tricky — and exactly why this resource matters.
