I stumbled upon this really cool dance album over the weekend called Topical Dancer by Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul. The beats got me grooving and the lyrics got me thinking — best of both worlds.
Here's one called "Hey" for y'all to check out:
Also, I've been jamming pretty hard to Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" recently thanks to its inclusion in Stranger Things. Appears that I'm not alone as the song (released in '85) just made it onto the Billboard Top 10!
"You should be ashamed, how do you love plants and eat them too?" I'm sending this to my vegan friend right now! 😂😂😂
Haha! My wife is vegan and I'm vegan most of the time. I absolutely found that bit to be hilarious! 🤣
This reminds me of the year I adopted my (noise reactive, anxious) pup, my Spotify Unwrapped told me I was the top fan of some guy who makes reggae for dogs 🤣
Honestly though, reggae music has magical powers with dogs! I'll need to try this ambient music too ☺️
Haha! That's so awesome. Sounds like your dog has good taste. Maybe I'll try this dog reggae thing out on my Cora... she's also a bit anxious, particularly during thunder storms. Next storm, I'm totally gonna try blasting some dog reggae, haha!
Definitely try it! It helps Ty a lot during fireworks and storms 💚
Imperial March. I especially prefer this one conducted by John Williams with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The song sounds really big and sounds very, very powerful.
Very nice!! This would've been so cool to see live. 😀
You're right that this sounds massive. It's so awesome seeing all these folks in action together and having them highlight the different folks playing different parts as they're playing them — like when those flutes come in at 54s for instance — just so dang cool.
I take it you've been tuning into the Obi Wan show, right?
I went to see Gary Clark Jr on the weekend. Wow such a great musician!

Woooaaa! Gary Clark Jr is sooooo awesome. I love blues music and he absolutely rocks! 🎸😎
Fantastic suggestion and soooo cool that ya got to go to his show. 🙌
He's keeping the blues alive! As a fellow guitar player it was quite an experience to hear him jam live 🤯😍
Wow!! Such a cool training idea. I may have to try that one in the future.
I'm tuning in now and this is super calming — I like the visuals too. 😌 I really love ambient music! Appreciate you sharing.
I felt the lyrics 😩❤
Ooo classic — what a great song! Alicia Keys is so awesome. And you're right, the lyrics on this one are so heartfelt.
yeah :)
When I really need to get fired up, I listen to Rap is Man's Soul! Believe in You'n the Restless Dude Showing the Sky, Listen to Kamina's Theme with Ears Wide Open!!
Often I listen to the Fight Club score when I need to get into my Zone.
Aww man, I can see why that tune gets ya fired up! That was dope. It felt like they mixed a bit of beatboxing into the beat, which I def appreciated.
And ooooo I literally just turned on the Fight Club soundtrack and this is awesome thus far. Feels quite industrial and definitely hits hard... absolutely fitting for the movie!
The sun's out, the sky is blue, the birds are chirping...it's a Norma Tanega kind of day!
Haha! I liked it from the title alone, but now that I'm tuning in, I really really like it! I had never heard Norma before and had to look her up to see if this was indeed from the 60's or just sounded like it.
I think the harmonica in this song is so dang original and enjoyable.
Really great share, Erin! Thank you for this one. 🙌
I found this song yesterday and I am now obsessed. 200K of those view are me.
Oh wow! This is a seriously dope tune.
I'm loving the drums on top of all these chill chords. There's a lotta interesting layers and production happening here too — not just a typical lofi beat that can get repetitive (which hey, I also love typical lofi beats, haha).
Great suggestion, I can see why ya keep coming back to it! Thankya for sharing!!
Yeah, I was listening to the chillhop stream, and like you say, lofi is good for chilling / zoning out, but then this came on and my brain lit up!
I've been listening to So Am I by Ty Dolla $ign featuring Damian Marley and Skrillex
It's simple melody is like INSANE feel good music
Oooo yeah, I haven't listened to Damian Marley in too long. I bet I'm gonna dig this one. Will toss it on in just a bit!
Totally forgot to toss it on yesterday, but I am very much enjoying this right now. 🙌
I'm heading to Miami this weekend to meet my new nephew and this song feels about perfect for that trip. 😎
Damian Marley sounds as good as ever!
One of my favorites 😍
Very nice! Ed Sheeran has an incredible voice. And haha, now I really wanna go skiing. ⛷
Totally into this Hate song, this one is so kicking
Wow! That double bass pedal rattling along the kick is absolutely ridiculous. The wave of distorted guitars and that killer growl are so rocking. 🤘
Not to mention, the mood set by the music video is so fitting.
I don't listen to lotsa heavy stuff, but can definitely see why ya dig this tune! I'm getting into it. Appreciate ya sharing!
Yeah man what a good description! Just saw the guys live in Munich some weeks ago on a Black Metal festival.
I love listening to fast blasting metal while I code, that gives me a huge drive
DevTunes FM all the way 📻🎵✨
Eric Bellinger - Gravity
Found it yesterday and, really obsessed with this one.🙉
I've been listening to Turia and Fluisteraars quite a bit.
I just can't stop listening to Twenty One Pilot's new MTV :D
Lots of Home Free this morning for some reason...
