Why Are We Building This?
Notion has been our favorite project and knowledge management tool in recent years because of its aesthetic appeal and functionality. Our team uses it daily, and we are on its paid plan. However, as we all know Notion has its limitations. These include weak data security and poor compatibility with mobile devices. Likewise, alternative collaborative workplace management tools also have their constraints.
To be honest, we do not claim to outperform Notion in terms of functionality and design, at least for now. Besides, our priority doesn't lie in more functionality at the moment. Instead, we would like to cultivate a community to democratize the knowledge and wheels of making complex workplace management tools, while enabling people and businesses to create beautiful things on their own by equipping them with a versatile toolbox of building blocks.

For those still on the lookout, here is a refreshed list of Notion alternatives. Complete with a side-by-side feature comparison.
If you are using Notion for notes, it is better to check Logseq or Focalboard or you can also check Notion alternatives (open source)
Thanks
Though I don't use Notion as often as before now, I still use it mainly for journaling. For project management software, I now switched between Todoist and Quire. Because Notion only is not enough to use as project management software.
Worth mentioning Obsidian -- they have the sync option. a lively discord, a bunch of useful tricks and it all works in Markdown :) obsidian.md/
Yeah, it's not OSS sadly. I use the free version and Syncthing for multiple devices. I'm looking into those others though, I've never heard of logseq and the others look interesting too. I'd greatly prefer using one that is open source!
If looking at an OSS alternative to Obsidian, Dendron is a good one to take a look at (also is local-first markdown files). I use Dendron on the Desktop, and the Obsidian mobile app if taking Dendron notes on my phone.
Dendron docs have a high-level comparison: Dendron vs. Obsidian
I really like Obsidian, been using it for a while. It's kinda similar to these and also just uses the file system so it's super nice
Cool, but why AGPL and not something like Apache-2.0?
Nice
Have you heard about focalboard? it is a nice alternative to notion.so
Nice open source 🔥
Xmm, interesting)
