15 Developer Portfolios to Inspire You

One of the toughest things to do as a new developer is to assemble an online portfolio.

  • What should I say?
  • What should I include?
  • What should I leave out?

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

If you’re stuck, take a look at these 15 samples of web developer portfolios for inspiration.

There's inspiration everywhere - hopefully, this article helped you find yours!

I would like to share something interesting with my readers. Keep reading to find out more.

If you are a student of computer science or an upcoming developer, you might consider participating in a hackathon.

Taking part in a hackathon can help you improve your coding skills, meet new people, build your resume, and develop your social circle.

If you would like to attend such an event, I recommend Hack This Fall 2.0. During the 22nd-24th of October, the event will be held. They are taking it to the next level this year with a 48-Hour Virtual Hackathon, which will promote hackers and help them develop new prototypes and ideas related to several domains. In addition to creating positive change in society, their mission also includes supporting beginners.

If you want to register for this wonderful hackathon you can do it here and do not forgot to use my referral code: HTFHE060

You can now extend your support by buying me a Coffee.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‡

Loved itπŸ‘, simple yet better looking than mine.

Quick concerns I could observe were, a bit of lag on initial load on the projects section and for some reason atleast on the mobile view, when you use the dropdown menu to navigate, reverse navigation seems to toggle the menu into view.

I love your portfolio. Is really beautiful. Congrats.

I have a comment just about the color of the 'About Me' text, it's dark, so it's a little hard to read. If you change to another color, like #bbb, it will look a little better, but it is up to you.

A wise move, it costs nothing to not have a portfolio, but a good LinkedIn profile on the other hand that's worth it

Here's the thing though, time or no, Linkedin, I get literally bombarded, I have to assume that's like most, by recruitment and it's not like they have ever said "oh where is your portfolio". If they ever did, well the job wants you to be a designer and a developer I guess, that's not actually a fun thing to be, too many hats is a red flag and they most likely pay you the right amount for it either. So I guess I will do a portfolio one day when starved for ideas ☺️

Loved this one. Nice UI and smooth animations. The quick concern I could find was the redirection to the 404 page on opening project links.

Thanks. I don't think portfolio website is that important though. The HR didn't even look at it when I applied for jobs. So what's the point?

yeah, I would say making a portfolio site is a good way to learn new coding language though.

Yes that's true if you haven't got any side projects in mind it's absolutely the thing to make (and learn something new from)

It's worth noting that for many engineers a portfolio is not nessisary. A lack of a portfolio may not be nearly as important as the lack of a formal degree or relevant experience.
