A year ago we launched Bearconnect on Product Hunt as a LinkedIn outreach tool. This week we shipped 2.0.
Instead of a feature list, here are the three design decisions that took the most arguing, since this crowd cares about how things work more than the pitch.
Why we changed direction
After a year of watching customers, one pattern stood out: people show intent through the posts they write, comment on and react to, while v1 started every conversation from a cold list. So 2.0 puts content and outreach in one tool. It writes and schedules LinkedIn posts in your own Brand Voice, finds prospects from LinkedIn activity, and sends connection requests, messages and follow-ups.
1. Sequences are branching flows, not a linear drip
In v1 a sequence was "connect, then message". In 2.0 a sequence is a flow with branches, and the steps include view profile, follow, like a post, endorse skills, connect, message and InMail. Here is an example built in the sequence builder:
Campaign start
-> View profile
-> Wait 1 day
-> Follow
-> Wait 1 day
-> Connection request
-> Track for 20 days
|- Not accepted yet -> Withdraw invite
|- Accepted -> Wait 1 day -> Message steps
A follow-up that ignores whether the person accepted is the quickest way to sound automated, so every message step now sits behind that check.
2. Workspaces and roles for agencies
Agencies run many LinkedIn accounts, and passwords get shared in group chats. Each workspace now has its own LinkedIn account, campaigns and inbox. Roles are Owner, Admin, Member and Viewer, custom roles are supported, and teammates join by email invite, so nobody needs a shared login. Seats are bought at the account level and allocated per workspace.
3. A human sends every AI reply
AI Inbox Reply drafts an answer from the conversation so far, in your saved Brand Voice. You review it and click send. Nothing goes out on its own. We debated auto-send and decided against it.
The same thinking applies to limits. Each account is capped at 25 connection requests and 50 messages a day, and campaigns pause near LinkedIn's weekly limit and resume on their own.

Two questions for the comments:
- Where do you draw the line between "AI drafts" and "AI sends" in the tools you use?
- If you wire tools like this into your own stack through webhooks, which events matter most to you?
