For my very first post here, I would like to discuss with you about the motivation behind open-source contributors. What can engage people contributing to an OSS (Open-Source Software) ?

Four of us in our final year of engineering school, trying to figure out : What are the motivational factors that can attract new contributors to an OSS project ?

We need your help ! ;-)

We have prepared a very quick (2 min) poll. We already have defined KPIs for our study and we would like to confront them with this poll. We would like to sketch a subjective view from a developer side with the answers.
