Entire went public today. i've been an insider since the beta, and i've tried pretty much everything that shipped. this isn't a changelog, just the moments that actually changed how i work.
the idea that hooked me
when i code with an agent, the most useful part is the conversation: why we picked an approach, what we tried first. then i commit and all of it disappears. git keeps the what, never the why.
Entire's first move was saving the agent session as a checkpoint right next to the commit. that's the whole reason i stuck around.
explain, rewind, resume
entire explain showing the session behind a commit was the first "oh, this is different" moment. reading back why a change happened beats guessing from a diff.
rewind and resume made agent work feel less scary. if a session went sideways, i could go back to a good point instead of starting over. i started letting agents try bolder stuff because undo was real.
any agent, one history
it started Claude-first, then Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, Factory Droid and more joined. for me this was the big one. i hop between agents, and now it all lands in the same history. Entire stopped feeling like a plugin for one tool and started feeling like part of git.
search and recap
entire search turned my old sessions into something useful. instead of scrolling through chats, i search "why did we do this" and get the answer. entire recap is the quick "what did i even do this week" view. small, but i use it a lot.
review agents
entire review (it started in labs) had agents review agent code and give scores you can actually read. looking back, this was the first hint of Trails, and it changed how i think about review: not one pass, but loops until the scores settle.
becoming a forge
then came orgs, projects and native repos, GitHub mirrors, and runners. cloning a repo by its Entire path for the first time felt weirdly special, like this isn't github anymore, it's its own thing. honestly this is when i realised Entire wasn't "a cli that saves sessions" anymore. it was becoming the place where code lives.
what's live today
Trails instead of PRs. every push gets scored by review agents (security, slop, needs-human-review, or your own), findings stay pinned until handled, and gates block the merge until evals, approvals and CI are happy. after months of review agents, this feels like the natural end point.
native hosting. host repos on Entire across regions (US, EU, Australia, India), or mirror from GitHub and move when you're ready.
continuous memory. entire-graph maps your codebase so agents stop wasting tokens grepping around, and entire-brain ties past sessions to it so the agent remembers the why. this is the checkpoint idea from day one, all grown up.
CI with Buildkite and Depot, showing up as checks right on the trail.

this is Marvin, Entire's mascot. a little black block with two eyes. i'm fully attached to him. no notes.
thank you
huge thanks to Haimantika Mitra, Rizel Scarlett and Lizzie Siegle for keeping us insiders in the loop the whole way. and congrats to Thomas Dohmke and the whole Entire team. watching a cli grow into a full forge from the inside has been wild.
