Hi everyone!
I’m Noor Halabi, a full-stack developer currently located in Jerusalem.
I recently joined Dev.to because I want to learn in public, share my journey honestly, and connect with people who care about building meaningful technology (not just shipping code).
🚀 Where I am now
I recently gradated from the ADAM Full-Stack Software Development Program at the University of Notre Dame, where I practically learnt:
- Go, Rust, JavaScript
- "Systems thinking": clean architecture, scalability, and efficiency
- DevOps: I started my DevOps journey there and I'm still on my way to be the future DevOps Engineer🎉
I’m especially drawn to clean, readable code and systems that scale without becoming fragile.
At the same time, I’m actively improving my English and Hebrew communication skills, because great software is built by people who can think and collaborate well across cultures.
📊 Before tech: markets, data, and systems
Before diving fully into software development, I spent nearly two years exploring financial markets and digital currencies.
That experience gave me:
- Strong data analysis & pattern recognition skills
- A deep respect for risk management
- A habit of thinking in systems, not isolated features
Interestingly, those skills transferred naturally into software engineering: debugging, architecture decisions, and performance trade-offs all feel very familiar.
🎮 A lifelong gamer
I’ve been gaming for over 15 years! Are you a gamer? I DEFINITELY would like to have a game with you 😉
What started as “just playing” slowly turned into:
- Understanding game logic
- Exploring server mechanics
- Building creative systems inside constraints
That curiosity is honestly what pulled me toward game development and low-level systems in the first place.
🌱 What I care about
I don’t just want to be a “good developer.”
I want to:
- Build things that actually help people
- Grow into someone who uplifts others in tech
- Learn continuously, even when it’s uncomfortable
