Boost Your LinkedIn Reach Organically: A Simple Guide

Are you struggling to increase your reach on LinkedIn? Here’s a simple analogy to help you understand the issue.

Imagine you’re taking a rickshaw ride, and the fare is 50 taka. You have four 50-taka notes: one is brand new, one is torn, and the other two are in average condition. Which note do you offer to the rickshaw driver?

Most of us instinctively hold on to the best note for ourselves and give away one of the less desirable ones. This small act reflects a common mindset: we want the best outcomes for ourselves but aren’t always willing to extend the same to others.

The same principle applies to LinkedIn. Many of us post content but complain about low engagement. The reason? We don’t engage with others’ content. Reading posts without engaging—liking, commenting, or sharing—creates a lack of reciprocity.

Here’s my personal approach:

  • When I see someone share their achievements, I make it a point to leave a "Congratulations" in the comments.
  • If I enjoy a post, I don’t hesitate to write a meaningful comment or share it with my connections.

This small effort has helped me grow my organic reach and foster a stronger LinkedIn network. Some senior professionals have even shared words of appreciation that made my day.

LinkedIn isn’t about being stingy with appreciation; it’s about creating meaningful interactions. Start engaging today, and watch your reach grow naturally.

Your success is my motivation. Best wishes always!
