AI assistants are becoming the new front page. When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Google AI Overviews "who should I use for X?", the answer comes from what those engines can read and trust about you — not from a ranking you can eyeball in a SERP.
That's the job of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization): make your facts machine-readable and your brand consistently citable.
To make that easy to check from inside the tools you already use, I open-sourced omniforce-mcp — a Model Context Protocol server that exposes OmniForce's AI-search visibility data to any MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Continue).
What it does
| Tool | Auth | What it does |
|---|---|---|
omniforce_geo_scan |
none | Audit a URL's GEO/AEO readiness → evidence-based score + findings |
omniforce_get_brand |
API key | Your brand profile |
omniforce_list_prompts |
API key | Queries monitored across answer engines |
omniforce_list_competitors |
API key | Competitors you track |
omniforce_list_snapshots |
API key | Recent citation/visibility runs |
omniforce_list_reports |
API key | Shareable visibility reports |
omniforce_account |
API key | Plan, usage, and upgrade options |
omniforce_upgrade |
API key | A hosted checkout link to upgrade |
The scan is keyless — install it and it works immediately. The rest read your tenant data.
Quick start
Run it with npx (no install step):
// Claude Desktop (~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json)
// Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json)
{
"mcpServers": {
"omniforce": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@omniforce/mcp"],
"env": { "OMNIFORCE_API_KEY": "omk_your_key" }
}
}
}
The env block is optional — drop it to use only the keyless GEO scan.
Try it
Once connected, just ask:
- "Run a GEO scan on https://example.com and summarize the top 3 fixes."
- "What am I tracking, and where are my citations decaying?"
You can also hit the hosted remote endpoint (Streamable HTTP) from any MCP client that supports remote servers:
https://mcp-oss.omniforce.run/mcp
Why MCP
MCP turns "a website" into "a tool an agent can call." Instead of dashboards you have to remember to open, your AI-search visibility becomes something your assistant can check, explain, and act on mid-conversation.

If you're working on GEO/AEO, I'd love feedback — issues and PRs welcome. And if you want the managed version (tracking, competitor defense, reports), start with a free audit at https://www.omniforce.run/.
