For someone just starting out, it can feel like becoming a web developer means learning dozens of technologies before you’re even allowed to build your first website.

But here’s the truth:

You don’t need every tool. You need to understand the role of the tools you use and why you’re using them.

More importantly, you need to understand the fundamentals that allow you to adapt when those tools change.
