Hey DEV community! 👋
I’m an indie hacker from the Czech Republic, building my own SaaS products and learning along the way.
Instead of just coming up with ideas, I enjoy turning them into working products, experimenting with new technologies, and figuring out what actually makes a product useful to real people.
Here are three projects I’m currently working on:
🧠 Assetli — a personal finance platform that helps people keep track of their finances, investments, assets, and financial goals. I’m also exploring how AI and MCP can make financial data more useful.
🎁 GiftWeGo — an AI-powered gift assistant and gift manager designed to help people find thoughtful gifts, organize gift ideas, and manage the gifting process. It also includes tools for creating gift vouchers and gift labels.
✉️ ProSignify — a SaaS project focused on email signature management.
Building these products has taught me that writing code is only one part of the challenge. Getting the first users, understanding their needs, explaining the value of a product, and finding sustainable ways to grow are challenges of their own.
That’s one of the reasons I’m joining DEV: I’d like to share what I learn, exchange ideas with other developers, and document some of the technical and business decisions behind building independent software products.
I’ll probably write about things like:
• Building SaaS applications with modern web technologies
• Integrating AI into practical products
• Experimenting with MCP and AI-powered workflows
• The realities of launching products and finding the first users
• Lessons learned from building in public
I’m still figuring plenty of things out, so I don’t intend to pretend I have all the answers. I’d rather share real experiments, including what doesn’t work.
A question for other indie hackers and developers:
What’s been the hardest part of building your own product so far — the technical side, finding users, or turning it into a sustainable business?
Looking forward to connecting with you! 👋
