Most of us use VsCode throughout our dragging days of standard work. Great. However, a glaring issue with VsCode or Vs is that it markets as open source. While VsCode is open source in a sense it still comes loaded with Microsoft's proprietary spyware (in true Microsoft fashion).
VsCode is open core, but not totally open source. I personally don't like this. If you want to continue letting Microsoft spy on you - feel free to stop reading.
So wheres the alternative? VsCodium is the way. VsCodium provides literally everything VsCode offers - without the spyware. Most of the same extensions - sans some proprietary Microsoft stuff that is only really useful if you work there.
VsCodium is a totally FOSS (free and open source) libre version of VsCode. Absolutely based.
