Highs and Lows
As a full stack developer, some of my biggest accomplishments or light-bulb moments this month were:
- I completed a project that involved building a web application for a client. The web application allows users to create, edit, and share their own graphic art using an artificial intelligence model. I used React for the front-end, Node.js for the back-end, and MongoDB for the database. I also integrated the graphic art tool that I learned from Bing chat mode as a feature of the web application. I think this project was very challenging and rewarding, as I had to learn new technologies and implement complex functionalities.
- I solved a bug that was causing the web application to crash randomly. The bug was related to the graphic art tool, which sometimes returned an error or a blank image. I debugged the code and found out that the problem was caused by a timeout issue. I fixed the bug by adding a retry mechanism and a fallback option. I also improved the user interface and the error handling of the web application. I felt very satisfied and relieved when I solved the bug, as it was affecting the user experience and the performance of the web application.
- I participated in Hacktoberfest for the first time. I contributed to some open source projects on GitHub, such as [React], [Node.js], and [MongoDB]. I learned a lot from the feedback and suggestions of other contributors and maintainers. I also received some [swag] from Hacktoberfest as a reward for my participation.
