Why I’m Doing This (and Probably Failing)

Hi,

So here’s the thing: I don’t really know what I’m doing. At least, not fully.

I mean, that’s kind of the point.

I’ve always loved understanding how things work, the math behind a pattern, the code behind a function, and the strange logic that makes something just… click. But knowing how to explain it? Or make it meaningful for someone else? That’s new. That’s scary. That’s the part I’m probably going to fail at. And that’s exactly why I’m doing this.

I want to write about what I’m learning before I fully understand it. Not because I think I have all the answers, but because I want to capture the messy, chaotic process of figuring things out. That awkward space where you’re halfway between “Oh, I get it” and “Wait… what did I just do?” That’s where the magic hides.

Here’s what you might see me write about:

  • The algorithms that make computers hum
  • The little math patterns that feel like secret codes
  • Tiny projects I experiment with, just to see what happens
  • Thoughts that probably make no sense at first, but maybe will later

I’m not promising clarity. I’m not promising perfection. I’m promising honesty. If I screw up, I’ll say so. If I discover something beautiful, I’ll share it. And if I learn something, I hope you’ll learn with me.

Why share it now? Because waiting until I “really know it” feels like a trap. Learning happens in public, not in a vacuum. Sharing forces me to clarify, to question, to push myself. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll help someone else see a little of the world differently too.

So, welcome to the experiment. Welcome to the messy, uncertain, exhilarating world of thinking out loud.

And yes, I’m probably failing already. But if failing means learning, then I’m in the right place.

And if I ever become a REAL software developer, or even not, I can look into this and think, “Oh… I did learn quite a bit!” And the best way to end this first article would probably be with one of my favourite quotes:

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new — Albert Einstein

If anything I’ve written makes you pause, laugh, or want to try something, I’d love to hear it; reply or leave a comment!
