Introducing PineGen Optimizer: Automated Parameter Tuning for TradingView Pine Script Strategies

Backtesting a Pine Script strategy usually ends the same way: adjusting the lookback length, the stop-loss percentage, the RSI threshold — one variable at a time, rerunning the backtest, and hoping the equity curve improves. It's the most repetitive part of strategy development, and one of the easiest to get wrong by hand.

PineGen Optimizer, a new browser extension from PineGen AI, is built to take that step over. It runs directly inside TradingView: it reads the strategy currently open in your Pine Editor, reads the chart you're on, and returns an optimized version of your code, tuned to the exchange, symbol, and timeframe you're actually trading, not a generic default.

It's designed to pair with PineGen AI, which writes the initial Pine Script from a plain-English description of a strategy. Together, the workflow looks like: describe the strategy → get working Pine Script → run the optimizer → get parameters tuned to the real market.

Setup takes three steps: open a chart, open the Pine Editor, and open the Optimizer tab. It waits until it can see the editor, and the moment a strategy is pasted in and "Add to chart" is clicked, it picks it up automatically — a live code preview, a compilation check, and the exchange, symbol, and timeframe it detected (AAPL on NASDAQ, daily chart, in the demo below). If backtest data is already available, it reads that too.
