I've just launched the new website for Regor, my open-source TypeScript reactive UI library.

This release is special because it brings together two generations of my software engineering work.
Regor: Built Before the AI Coding Agent Era
I started developing Regor in August 2023, before AI coding agents became a major part of software development.
Its reactive engine was designed and implemented by hand, with a focus on direct DOM manipulation, predictable reactivity, and TypeScript integration.
Regor takes a different approach from Virtual DOM frameworks:
- No Virtual DOM: Reactive changes update the actual DOM directly.
- TypeScript-first: Components and application logic use standard TypeScript.
-
Familiar directives:
r-if,r-for,r-model, and other Vue-inspired bindings. - Progressive enhancement: Add reactivity to existing HTML without replacing the DOM.
- Flexible runtime: Build interactive interfaces without requiring a compilation step.
A New Home, Powered by PureStack
Today, AI has dramatically accelerated my development workflow. One result is PureStack, my newer open-source frontend framework.
PureStack uses Regor as its reactive UI engine.
Now the relationship works both ways: Regor's new website is built entirely with PureStack.
The redesigned website includes comprehensive documentation, API references, directive guides, and interactive examples demonstrating Regor in action.
It's also another real-world demonstration of PureStack's static site generation and component capabilities.
Two Generations, One Ecosystem
Regor represents years of traditional, hands-on engineering. PureStack represents how I build software today, combining engineering experience with AI-assisted development.
Both are independent, MIT-licensed open-source projects that now complement each other.

I'd welcome technical feedback, particularly on Regor's direct-DOM reactive architecture.
Two generations of engineering work, now powering each other.
