After you have instance go to instances select your instance click on Actions and click on Image and Templates and select Create Image and enter create image

• Enter your image name
  

• Go to AMI section which is present in the side nav bar

• Here you can find your AMIs
  

• Once the AMI is available go to instances click on launch instance

• Now here in choose AMI section select My AMIs

• You can see your own custom created AMI here

Select it and follow the same instructions that we use for creating instance.
