Hey devs 👋
I recently launched pcagents.store, a new kind of app store. Not for mobile. Not for SaaS. But for something that's been criminally underserved:
⚡ AI-powered desktop apps.
Yep — real, installable software that lives on your machine. No login walls. No cloud latency. No “SaaS tax.”
🤔 Why Build an App Store for Desktop Apps?
Let’s be real:
The AI space is booming, but most tools are locked behind APIs, subscriptions, or browser tabs.
A wave of indie devs are building amazing tools with LLMs, agents, automation scripts, etc.
But where are these apps supposed to live? On GitHub? Twitter threads? Buried in newsletters?
There was no central hub for AI‑powered desktop-first apps.
So I built one.
🧠 Introducing: pcagents.store
The app store for AI agents, productivity tools, and local-first desktop software.
Whether you're building with:
🖥️ Python + Electron
💬 GPT-4-powered agents
⚙️ Workflow automation tools
📂 Local document processors
...PCAgents gives you a home base to share, discover, and grow your AI-powered desktop tools.
🔍 What You’ll Find on PCAgents

Total dev time: ~48 hours from idea to live beta 🚀
Still polishing. Still shipping.
🧩 Why Now?
LLMs and local AI are at an inflection point.
LangChain, Ollama, GPT4All, GPT‑Pilot — these aren’t just web tools.
They’re components for fully autonomous desktop software.
But distribution is stuck in the GitHub repo era.
We’re about to see a wave of LLM-native apps that live on your laptop, not in the cloud.
That’s where PCAgents comes in.
💬 Want to Submit Your App?
If you're building something AI-powered and desktop-based:
Submit it on pcagents.store
Add install instructions (zip, installer, GitHub, whatever)
I’ll help you get eyeballs — blog features, social promo, HN launch boost
⚡ Bonus: Who This is For
🧑💻 Indie hackers building AI side projects
🧠 Researchers with internal LLM tools they want to open up
⚙️ Power users who love to automate their workflow
👨🏫 Educators building local teaching tools with GPT
🗣️ Feedback Welcome!
This is just v0.1 of PCAgents — I’m actively building it in public.
