Inspiration
My inspiration for this project was the vibrant and traditional São João festival in Porto, Portugal. I wanted to create a digital experience that captured the essence of this unique celebration, perfectly aligning with the hackathon’s “June Celebrations” theme.
Demo
I developed an interactive website in React.js that simulates the atmosphere of São João do Porto. The website includes:
- A fun game of "greeting with leeks".
- The possibility of releasing hot air balloons with animations.
- Informational modals about the history and traditions of the festival.

Journey
The project was built using React.js with Vite for fast and efficient development. I opted for a single file structure (App.jsx) to keep things simple and focus on functionality. I learned how to integrate animations with Framer Motion and create an engaging user experience, combining interactivity with educational content. The deployment was configured for Vercel, ensuring easy access and scalability.
