Description of Project
Financial literacy is a must for every self concerned citizen. Our project finkie aims at elevating this to a higher step. It tries to bring various aspects of economy and make it simple enough for the regular normal person to understand. It provides various calculators which takes in minimal user input and provides a correct calculation displayed in a simple manner. The main target of our project is simplification so that the user can bypass the convolutions of the financial frameworks all the while benefitting from it. The project also display fd rates, mf rates and blogs on various topics related to finance in an attempt to converge this broad and elusive field into the grasp of the user.

Challenges We Faced
Being first year students and this being our first hackathons we faced countless problems which were eventually overcome by sleepless nights and cups of cold coffee(the temperature has soared). The first of many was managing our acads with this month long hackathon. Overcoming the endless torrent of code errors all the while learning new technologies with friends late night on discord, seething with the classic coder rage proved to be more enjoyable than expected.
Here is a small overview on the challenges we faced throughout the experience:
- Time Management
- The pressure of meeting the deadline
- Numerous rookie mistakes which took forever to fix (yes I'm talking about that one missing semi-colon)
- Learning new technologies all while implementing the old ones
- Understanding the depths of finance
- And rising temperature of the summer sun

In conclusion, we allowed ourselves to get knee deep in the dense waters of Finance with all the passion in the heart to make something that would make us proud, and we are proud. Proud of how we broke down complex topics into little digestible chunks that you can actually digest and not get food poisoning. Proud of having set and delivered on our initial goals. And proud that we made finance that little bit less daunting. All the while enjoying the process and having fun along the way with our awesome team.
