TL;DR
istiquritconsultant.com Re-Launch repurposes a retired business domain into a hand-coded PHP, Markdown-based tech diary — six categories, nine three.js mini-games, zero sales pitch, live since August 24, 2026.
istiquritconsultant.com Re-Launch is the thing I actually want to talk about as a developer, not as a marketer. When "Istiqur IT Consultant" rebranded to "Remote SEO Consultant" earlier in 2026 — because the old name described a person instead of a problem people search for — the domain istiquritconsultant.com sat there, unused. Rather than let it expire or redirect it into another landing page, I rebuilt it from scratch as a personal, non-commercial tech diary. istiquritconsultant.com Re-Launch has been live since August 24, 2026, running on a stack I control end to end: hand-coded PHP, Markdown content files, version control, currently at build 2.1.1.
This post is the dev-technical angle on the relaunch: the stack decisions, a real bug I hit and documented (OpenCode CLI and Desktop both refusing to start), and why I'm treating this as a build-in-public log rather than a portfolio piece.
1. Why Rebuild Instead of Redirect
The easy path was a 301 redirect from the old domain into remoteseoconsultant.com and calling it done. I didn't want that. istiquritconsultant.com had brand equity as a name people already knew, and I wanted a space to write about the messy, technical parts of my day — the bugs, the stack tweaks, the self-hosting experiments — that don't belong on a business site optimized for SEO/GTM conversions. So the rebuild became its own project: separate brand system (Signal Emerald green, #0E8F5E, dark-mode-first at #0B1215), separate typography (Bodoni Moda headlines, Hanken Grotesk body), and a ribbon-bookmark mark in a "Clear Glass" treatment. None of it touches the violet brand system Remote SEO Consultant already uses.
2. The Stack: PHP, Markdown, and Nothing I Don't Control
istiquritconsultant.com runs on hand-coded PHP with Markdown-based content files, all version-controlled, currently build 2.1.1. No managed CMS, no page builder. In front of it: Cloudflare for DNS and performance, LiteSpeed page cache for serving, Google Analytics 4 for traffic, IndexNow for fast indexing, and fully self-hosted fonts — no third-party font CDN calls slowing down first paint.
This is a deliberate build-in-public choice. Every post, every mini-game, every bug fix happens in a repo I can point to, not behind a black-box SaaS dashboard.
3. What's Actually Live Right Now
Six content categories, each with its own page and its own themed three.js mini-game:
- AI — no posts yet, but it's the category I expect to grow fastest. Game: Signal Runner.
- Workflow Optimization — home to the first real post. Game: Workflow Sprint.
- Windows — Game: System Defender.
- Linux — Game: Terminal Chase.
- Self-Hosting — Game: Uptime Runner.
- Tech Journey — how a pharmacist became a technologist. Game: Duck Hunt.
Beyond the six category games, there's Breakout on the homepage, Journey Snake on the About page, Catch the Signal on Contact, and a bonus game embedded directly in the OpenCode post — nine playable games total, all three.js, all built for a site that has zero commercial intent.
4. The First Post: A Real OpenCode Bug, Documented End to End
The first published post is "OpenCode Not Working: Why Both CLI & Desktop Died." It's not a tutorial — it's a postmortem. After adding five custom subagents to my OpenCode setup, both the CLI and the Desktop app refused to start. The post walks through:
- The exact error text both the CLI and Desktop surfaced
- The one-field root cause buried in the subagent configuration
- How the fix was applied and verified independently in both the CLI and the desktop app
That's the kind of post I want this domain to carry: specific, reproducible, no filler. If you've ever had a tool die after a config change and had to binary-search your way back to a working state, this is that story.
5. Explicitly Not a Sales Funnel
The homepage says it directly: no pitch inside the posts. That line exists on purpose. istiquritconsultant.com Re-Launch is not a lead-gen funnel wearing a blog costume. The commercial SEO, GTM, and web-dev work stays on remoteseoconsultant.com, where it belongs, and gets exactly one mention from the About page — clearly labeled as a separate, paid engagement. Everywhere else, it's just notes from the work.
6. The Newsletter: One Post, No Noise
5,078+ subscribers get one email per published post — no digest bundling, no batching of unrelated updates. Unsubscribe is one click, and the list is never sold or rented. For a dev-focused audience, that's the bar: if the post isn't done, you don't get an email about it.
7. How This Connects Back to Remote SEO Consultant
I'm the same person running both: Remote SEO Consultant for the paid SEO/GTM/web-dev work, istiquritconsultant.com for the unfiltered technical diary. I announced the relaunch in more detail on the Remote SEO Consultant blog, and recorded a short walkthrough video covering the brand decisions and the stack — I walked through this in a short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bmAXUClHVk. The full announcement post, with more context on the rebrand itself, is here: https://remoteseoconsultant.com/istiquritconsultant-relaunch/.

We need to produce a short comment, one or two sentences, casual, like a YouTube commenter. Must not include marketing copy, no URLs, no double hyphens, no em-dash. Let's craft: "i noticed the OpenCode bug you hit when refactoring the PHP stack, any tips for avoiding that in future updates?" That's
