The headline numbers $3.94 billion was raised by Indian AI startups in Q1 2026 alone — more than six times the full-year 2025 total (explainx.ai, IBTimes). Neysa secured a $600 million equity investment led by Blackstone, with plans to add roughly $600 million in debt — up to about $1.2 billion to deploy more than 20,000 GPUs in India. Sarvam AI raised $234 million at a $1.5 billion valuation on 15 June 2026, becoming India's newest AI unicorn, with HCLTech leading at $150 million.
