I Did the Math on This Networking Course: About £4 Per Live Session

There's a version of this comparison that always gets skipped when people evaluate a course: not "is it worth the total price," but "what does each hour of actual instruction cost."

Codelivly's Network Engineering Live Training runs 8 weeks, three live sessions a week, which is 24 sessions total. At the current sale price of £99.99 for training only, that works out to roughly £4 a session. Not £4 for a video you can pause and skip through. £4 for a live session with an instructor who's there to answer the question you actually have, at the exact moment your subnetting math stops making sense.

That's the part a pre-recorded course structurally can't offer at any price, because there's no one on the other end of it. You can buy a cheaper video library, and plenty of people do, and then don't finish it, because nothing about a video library asks you to show up on Wednesday at 3:45 PM.

What the £4 a session actually buys you across 8 weeks:

Weeks 1-3: the OSI and TCP/IP models, Ethernet, MAC and ARP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, VLANs, trunking, and Spanning Tree Protocol.

Weeks 4-6: static and dynamic routing with OSPF, inter-VLAN routing, HSRP, DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT, and wireless network design.

Weeks 7-8: network security (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs), monitoring, a full troubleshooting methodology, and an enterprise network design project to close it out.

For £149.98 total, you can add a fourth month: a supervised internship where you apply everything to real or simulated network tasks, documented the way an actual job would require. Not employment, doesn't claim to be, but it's the difference between "I finished a course" and "here's the project I can show you."

No prior networking experience needed, sessions run Mon/Wed/Fri at 3:45-5:30 PM UTC (a normal evening slot for the UK and most of Europe), and the sale price ends September 9, five days before the September 14 cohort even starts.
