This is a submission for the 2026 WeCoded Challenge: Echoes of Experience
Hello DEV Community
I am Sabir Ali, a Computer Science student currently in my second semester at Mir Chakar Khan Rind University (MCKRU) in Sibi, Pakistan. My journey into tech might be a bit different from what you usually see, and I wanted to share it to show that passion matters more than high-end gear.
Breaking the Barriers with Mobile Coding
When I started, I didn't have a high-end laptop, but I didn't let that stop me. I turned my Infinix Zero X into a portable workstation. Using tools like Termux and VNC, I managed to set up a Linux environment and run VS Code right on my phone.
What Iβm Building
Currently, I am deep-diving into Python, C++, and Java. My favorite project right now is building a personal voice-activated assistant (my own "Jarvis") using Python and Termux APIs. Itβs challenging to code on a small screen, but every time a script runs successfully, it feels like a huge win!
My Message to Others
To all the students out there who feel they lack the "perfect" resources: start with what you have. Whether it's a mobile phone or an old PC, your logic and consistency are your real power.
Iβm excited to keep learning, growing, and eventually contributing to the global tech community. Let's keep coding!
