Hello,
I’m Rod, and I’m currently starting my prework for my upcoming coding bootcamp. I’m starting from scratch, which makes me nervous, yet I’m also very excited to learn as much as possible. The actual bootcamp will begin in a couple of weeks, so I want to practice as much as I can to have a decent understanding by the time classes start. I’ve been working two jobs, so my schedule has been quite tight. However, things are starting to fall into place, and I’m confident I’ll be able to transition into my learning journey.
This week, I focused on HTML and CSS. It involved basic tasks like creating a webpage, adding text, hyperlinks, images, titles, and styles. It was fun, and sometimes I experimented with trial and error to see how things worked. Making simple adjustments, like making an image clickable to display its full resolution, felt really rewarding.
I couldn’t help but feel that there might be simpler ways to achieve what I wanted. I’m sure my upcoming learning sessions will fill in the gaps, but I can’t deny feeling overwhelmed at times. As I added my images, I started wondering about creating a comment section and how image uploading is implemented on a webpage, but I was definitely getting ahead of myself. It’s intriguing to think about these aspects though.
I’ve used many tutorials by Bro Code on YouTube; his work has been very helpful. The quality and variety in his channel are quite amazing. I’ll continue to watch his videos frequently in the coming months. In the near future, I plan to explore HTML, CSS, and hopefully delve into JavaScript a bit.
If anyone happens to read this and has any good pointers or suggestions for beginners, I’d greatly appreciate any comments. Thanks!
