Major steps forward in your career can come at the seemingly most random of times and certainly not in a nice, evenly paced way. Don't be too disheartened if you haven't had one in a while, just keep working on your goals, double-check they've been set well, and just keep going.
Heads up: As with any terse bit of advice, there will be exceptions of course, and subtleties and nuance that can't possibly be captured in a Byte of Wisdom. This has been what I've experienced, I'd love to hear yours in the comments too!
