Starting at a new company? The best way to prove yourself is not (just) with your current knowledge, but your ability to learn new things and quickly start adding value. Listening, learning, reading and practising what is helpful for that company will set you on the right path to be a respected software developer.
Heads up: As with any terse bit of advice, there will be exceptions of course, and subtleties and nuance that can't possibly be captured in a Byte of Wisdom. This has been what I've experienced, I'd love to hear yours in the comments too!
