Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. It runs tasks for you, and every task spends tokens. The first two days are when a little setup pays off most. These are the five moves I'd make before asking it for anything big.
1. Redeem an invite code before anything else
New accounts get a 48-hour window to redeem an invite code, and both you and the person who shared it get 1 billion tokens that never expire. On the web it's Settings → General → Redeem invite code. In the app it's Settings → Redeem token. Mine is KGDUUN, with 19 of its 30 uses left (11 redeemed so far). Details are at kgduun.pages.dev. Any working code does the job. Just don't let the window close.
2. Tell it who you are once
Each time Muse has to ask your timezone, your city, or how you like replies, that's a round trip you pay for. Put the basics in one message early, and later requests start from context.
3. Connect only what you'll use this week
Every connected account is more for the agent to look through. Start with the one or two apps your first real task needs, and add others when a task actually calls for them.
4. Batch related asks
"Find three dinner spots, check which take reservations Friday, and draft a text to the group" costs less than three separate requests that each rebuild the same context.
5. Be specific about the finish line
Vague asks lead to exploring, and exploring burns tokens. Say what done looks like: "three options under $40, with links" beats "find me something good."
The takeaway
Tokens go furthest when Muse spends them doing the task, not working out what you meant. Spend ten minutes on setup and your free allowance plus any bonus tokens will stretch a lot further.
