Okay, I'm excited about Neuralink, maybe you are not. Seem like an episode of Black Mirror coming to reality.
But let's assume if in Future this actually works and this technology is assessable to masses than that means we might get a chance to develop something using it. I'm pretty sure that they probably provide an emulator for that but what if to even test something you build(without errors obviously) on you or probably wanna get an implant trying that someone else builds?
Damn, there are so many possibilities ahead. What are your thoughts on this?

Short answer: no.
Long answer:
Sorry this thing makes me irrationally angry somehow 😅
This article covers my reaction to the presentation pretty well: I was excited for Neuralink. Then I watched Elon Musk’s stupid demo
Being able to save and relive memories would be an awesome feature. I would test it out for a short while.
Exactly
Yes but I would like a Biotic Implant like in the Mass Effect universe so that i get powers 😄 And a private firewall so I cant get hacked.
It's all sunshine and roses until someone says "Execute Order 66"
I would not. No explanation needed I think.
Fair enough
Non-invasive would be the first criterion...
I have heard that future is technologically-enhanced human, but I do fear that we will be enhanced in a stupider way...
Also, even if it is non-invasive, being a fallible human can be fun. Fun factor is the most important.
Even then, what's the difference between Neuralink and LSD (drugs)?
Right !
Short answer nope, long answer why put a chip on yourself like a dog tag. Which raise data privacy concerns as they can essentially monitor 24/7. Plus there's really no long term health research on having it with you.
Where anyone can affect your thinking, track you or harm yourself in health since there's not a lot of of research on long terms health risk & maintenance of the hardware. Plus putting that aside what is the chances of anyone hacking into it to disable or make life a living hell by just introducing malware.
Of course not it short term but question is what about in long term when this technology is more advanced.
Well if your anime person, Sword Art Online or Accel World comes to mind to make friends, learn, play games or even affecting the world population through it.
What ?!
Yup the biggest shapers of technology is actually fiction, writers, movies, tv shows & songs who uses their imagination to do it. Which we draw our inspiration from, for example Star Trek's communicator device is in our hands now.
Oh okay. Thanks for suggestions but I’m not a anime person 😅
It's alright cause I would pick this over the neural link due to clear economic benefits it presents.
Red Light machine that replaces MRI machine
This kinda gives off 1984 vibes to me...
Why is that ?!
I'm 1984 the government no only controls your every move, but also you thought - through relentless propaganda and could, on top of that, read your thought - though not directly. This, in my opinion can give a government - any government - the power to control and read thought. Obviously at this time this technology is no where close to that but I feel it won't take to long to get to that point and for the government (and ad companies) to start abusing it.
TL;DR This is fine now but could be dangerous in the future
Which people getting more aware about privacy now, I think these things companies will tackle first before making it assessable to all.
Well controlling to that extent may be overkill for government as then it won’t be called a government it will be monarchie.
