Connect your AI agent, build a scene, and download an editable Blender file. Sceneplane runs Blender in the cloud and exposes it through MCP. The Free plan includes 30 compute minutes per month, with no credit card needed.
Disclosure: this is a post from Sceneplane about our own platform. An AI agent wrote this article using the platform's documentation and actual showcase assets.
This is VESPER No.7, an actual Sceneplane example. You can inspect it in 3D, download its editable Blender file, or get the GLB. It's a visual assembly; it isn't a claim of a functional or print-ready typewriter.
The useful part of this workflow is keeping the scene editable. You can ask your agent to change a material, adjust the camera, inspect the scene, render another angle, or export a model for a web viewer.
1. Connect your agent
Create a free Sceneplane account, then open Connect agent in the dashboard.
Choose your client. Cursor and VS Code have Add to buttons: open the installed app, confirm the connection, and complete browser sign-in. Other clients have their own connector flow or a short command. OAuth clients don't need a manually copied API key, and Blender doesn't need to be installed on your computer.
The remote endpoint is:
https://mcp.sceneplane.online/v1
It uses Streamable HTTP and OAuth browser sign-in.
For Claude Code, run:
claude mcp add --transport http sceneplane https://mcp.sceneplane.online/v1
Then run /mcp in Claude Code, select Sceneplane, and sign in.
For Codex CLI, run:
codex mcp add sceneplane --url https://mcp.sceneplane.online/v1
codex mcp login sceneplane
These use the clients' supported remote MCP setup flows: Claude Code documentation and Codex documentation. For other clients, use the dashboard's instructions; remote connector availability can depend on your client, plan, or workspace administrator.
2. Start with a small scene
A detailed typewriter involves iteration. For a first project, start with something small enough to inspect and revise:
Use Sceneplane to create my first project: a small ceramic planter with a rounded rim on a simple studio floor. Check my available budget, build the scene, render a 512×512 preview within my free limits, wait for the completed result, and give me the download link. Do not use paid external generation services.
This prompt gives the agent a concrete object, a preview size, and a clear stopping point. It also asks it to check the compute allowance before doing the work. It's a starter brief, not a guarantee that every agent produces the same scene.
Your first milestone is a completed, downloadable preview. A submitted or running job isn't a finished result.
3. Inspect, change one thing, and export
Open the preview. Ask for one specific change, such as:
Keep the geometry and camera. Change the planter to a matte terracotta material, then render another preview within my remaining budget.
Once the result is useful, ask the agent to export the scene and wait for the export job to finish:
- .blend keeps the scene editable in Blender.
- GLB is useful for a web viewer or another compatible 3D tool.
- STL needs geometry and printability checks before you send it to a printer.
The Free allowance is compute time, so check usage between iterations. Your AI client may have its own subscription or model costs; those aren't included in Sceneplane's free compute.
A more detailed example: AUREL 35
The AUREL 35 cinema projector has an interactive 3D viewer and a 20-second assembly, exploded-view, and reassembly film.
The film is a staged animation of the model rendered in Sceneplane, not a recording of its original modeling process. Both showcase models involved iteration; they're examples of the workflow's outputs, not a promise of a one-prompt result.
First 100 promotion
Through December 31, 2026 UTC, the first 100 eligible Free account owners who exhaust their 30 compute minutes in one UTC calendar month receive one calendar month of beta free automatically, while places remain. Qualification order counts, not signup order.
Beta free grants 4 compute hours per UTC month, 2 concurrent workers per deployment, 2 deployments, rendering up to 2048×2048 at 256 samples, and 10 GiB storage. Existing monthly usage counts toward the four hours. Free resumes afterward with no automatic charge.
The campaign expires at January 1, 2027, 00:00 UTC, or when all 100 rewards are claimed. Check current availability and the full terms.
Make your first 3D asset free — no credit card.
